The music of the Lyder Røed quintet is honest and sincere. Inspired by Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, and the jazz music from the 60s. Not to forget the more modern inspirations, most notably from Roy Hargrove. Even though it still has a foot or at least some toes in the Norwegian jazz landscape!
