A native New Yorker Michael Moody has studied with today’s leaders of jazz music, including NEA Jazz Master Barry Harris, Roberta Gambarini, Marion Cowings, and JD Walter. Moody has performed on stage with Sheila Jordan, Helen Sung, and Sullivan Fortner. Moody participated in the “Made In New York” jazz festival where he performed alongside John Patitucci, Franciso Mela, and Randy Brecker. In November 2017 Moody released his debut album “I Wish You Love” “The album an impressive debut, shows off Moody’s keen sense of time, rich vibrato, and agility with vocal improv” - Susanne Lorge [All About Jazz] In September 2019 Moody released his sophomore project “It Never Entered My Mind”
